Typical season June 15th to Sept 15th depending on snow conditions, lake levels, and staffing. Limited services before July 1st and after Labor Day.
You’ll not be stuck in the boonies when you come to Florence Lake. There are facilities and services available that include campgrounds,, picnic area, store, boat rentals, and passenger ferry services to places around the lake, and the main connection to the mid-point of the John Muir Trail, the most popular hiking trail in the United States. Please note that the campgrounds around Florence Lake are open for campers once Kaiser Pass Road opens for the season. Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis with limited services (camp host, water etc.) until early June when the reservation system kicks in and camp hosts arrive.
